Saxophonist Andre Delano & Lionel Ritchie greets Bill Clinton
Celebrating the best and the brightest among musicians: Former President Bill Clinton greets American pop artist Lionel Richie and sax star Andre Delano, while checking out Delano’s saxophone backstage after their recent performance at the 14th THISDAY Festival of Ideas, held recently in Lagos, Nigeria. Delano, (whose new cd “My So Fine” was just released by Nu Groove Records) is currently touring with Richie throughout South Africa and Europe. The two performed at the awards gala, celebrating ten years of unbroken democracy in Nigeria. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan also attended the ceremony, which honored the best and the brightest of Nigeria.
