Carmen Liana Debut Album Release "Who I Am"

Thompkins Marketing and Protege Entertainment is proud to announce we
will be working with Lotus Records with their debut artist , Carmen
Liana. Thompkins Marketing will be handling the marketing and
promotions of soulful newcomer, as Protege Entertainment will handle
the public relations and Internet promotion of Carmen Liana. "Who I Am"
is Carmen's debut release that is gaining airplay weekly.
Carmen
Liana, born in Cordele, Georgia, knew at a early age that she loved
music. Carmen Liana's debut album "Who I Am" the world will hear a rare
talent. The album is rich and soulful. Carmen's vocal style sets a
neo-soul/urban flow. Carmen is a gifted singer, guitar master and song
writer.
Carmen Liana is one of those talented
few.Her
attention-grabbing vocals have already earned Liana (pronounced
Lie-Anna) backup stints with such popular hit makers as Chaka Khan and
Monica. Her voice also graced a 2003 TV and radio advertising campaign
for Greyhound.
Now the Atlanta-based singer/songwriter
is ready to leave a more permanent stamp by way of her first album,
"Who I Am." Slated for release second quarter of 2009 via Lotus
Records, the album showcase an artist who is truly passionate about her
craft. "Singing hits me in the face like an electric current," says
Liana with her southern lilt. "Here I am sharing one of the greatest
gifts God gave me to the world. Where it comes from is so genuine. And
to able that back to people is an amazing feelings." Dishing up
melodic servings of R&B/hip-hop peppered with down-home grit, Liana
slices through a range of emotions about love, life, and relationships
on "Who I Am".
The highlighted single
selections include "Luv Me 4ever" is a song that touches on that dream
that some may consider a fairy tale dream where two people meet and
instantaneous connection like soul mates that will share love forever.
"Taking Applications" compares the quest of finding a significant other
to that of finding the right job: interview a few prospects before
jumping into the first situation that comes along. Liana wrote or
co-wrote eight of the album's 10 tracks, working with producer Rob
Gi'hana for DropSoul Productions and co-executive producer Wirlie
Morris for Wirlwide Entertainment.

Carmen
is currently preparing for the Save R&B Tour in Japan this July and
is to follow up in the U.S. with additional tour dates. Before heading
