Bassist Wayman Tisdale Passes...



Former NBA Star turned smooth jazz bass great Wayman Tisdale passed away Friday morning due to complications to cancer.  Wayman's career in music came directly after a successful career in the N.B.A.. Almost immediately did his music climbed & became very popular in the smooth jazz format with the love of the bass. Many of his projects made the Billboard charts over the years, & he also has contributed on numerous compositions from various artists in R&B, Gospel & Jazz music by means of production, songwriting & arrangements. His music reflected on spirituality, as well as touched on some of the greatest covers in R&B & transcend the passion of bass play into a primary lead in compositions.

The Family at The Urban Music Scene is deeply saddened by his loss. Our prayers go out to his family, friends, peers, etc. He will surely be missed.
Wayman Tisdale was 44.
