(BOSTON, MA / ATLANTA, GA) - Today, E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records) will release Terri Lyne Carrington's long-awaited new release, More to Say... (Real Life Story: NextGen).

Terri Lyne's More To Say... is a vibrant and grooving concept album that references '70s and '80s era classic R&B and contemporary jazz.  The CD encompasses a broad range of musical styles, including funk, silky smooth R&B, Neo-Soul, Latin, and classic jazz.

TERRI LYNE CARRINGTON

Terri Lyne Carrington's elite industry status is profound.  One would be hard pressed to name another contemporary musician that has seamlessly crossed genres with past, present and future musical standard bearers.

Terri Lyne was discovered as a 12-year old drum prodigy by greats such as Clark Terry, and the late Max Roach, Buddy Rich and Dizzy Gillespie.

She was then mentored over the years by Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Jack DeJohnette, Dr. Billy Taylor and the late Stan Getz.  She has collaborated with Nancy Wilson, Carlos Santana, Cassandra Wilson, David Sanborn, Joe Sample, Dianne Reeves, George Duke, Marcus Miller, Angelique Kidjo, Diana Krall, Rita Coolidge and Joan Osborne.

She now records and performs with Patrice Rushen, Christian McBride, Jimmy Haslip and Everette Harp ... and with emerging artists such as Esperanza Spalding.

And now, Terri Lyne Carrington's More To Say... (Real Life Story: NextGen) illustrates what many have known for years ... that she is a "bridge" between the great legacy of jazz and the future of jazz-inflected mainstream music that defies category.
