Inspirational Vocalist Marti Dorner Releases Debut Project "Marti"
Former Background Vocalist, Marti Dorner, Delivers Solo Christian Music Debut
Artist To Release CD At D.C. Area's First Sundays At Half Note Lounge On April 3, 2011
(Washington, D.C.) - - Gifted vocalist and songwriter Marti Dorner is a singer's singer. Having
sung background vocals for legendary artists like Larnelle Harris, Ron
Kenoly, Thurlow Spurr, Babbie Mason, Sandy Patti, and The Gaither Vocal
Band, Marti has paid her dues in Christian music. Now the soprano has launched her solo career with the debut of her self-titled project, "Marti". A
mix of Contemporary Christian and Contemporary Gospel music, the
11-track CD showcases the talented vocalist in collection of powerful
worship ballads and upbeat, moving praise songs. The artist will be officially releasing the project on Sunday, April 3rd at Christian Hang Suite's First Sundays Spring Bling. The
event will be taking place at Half Note Lounge (4881 Glenn Dale Road,

Marti will debut songs from the new album, a project she self-produced. Marti wrote 10 songs on her 11-track album which delivers stunning musicality throughout. From the urban inspirational stylings of "Endless
Grace" to the solemn reverence of "Fill This Place" to the Caribbean
flair of "Clap Your Hands" to the exciting praise of "Sacrifice", Marti
knows how to uplift no matter what musical style she chooses. Her
sole purpose in ministry is to give hope. The ingenuity of the album
stems from Marti's own experiences which are poured throughout this
project. "When I started the album, I truly felt honored that God would choose me to be His psalmist. It was an amazing experience."
A native of the Bahamas, Marti started in music singing at church. Growing up with evangelistic parents and eight siblings, her home was always filled with music. After
moving to Orlando, Marti developed her artistry by singing in multiple
platforms such as churches, arenas, radio stations, and making
television appearances. She currently resides with her husband of 15 years and 2 children within the Maryland area.
