St. Louis, MO -- Award-winning St. Louis-based songwriters and producers Christopher J. Watkins and Kyle E. Kelley are the talented front men of a choir that has given “good choir music” a refreshing boost. Chris & Kyle with True Spirit have anointed lyrics and perfected production skills most noted on their huge hit radio single “No One Like You” featuring vocal contributions by International President of Music for Church of God In Christ, Dr. Judith Christie-McAllister. Chris & Kyle w/True Spirit have released the video to the hit song that can be viewed now on Chris-N-Kyle TV .
In celebration of Black Music Month in June, Chris & Kyle w/True Spirit have released their second single to Gospel radio. Now at Gospel radio is their lively, uplifting song “Lift Him Higher”.
Their 2010 Heal Me project, on Emtro Records, landed them on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart and has leveraged the 40-voice group as the premiere contemporary choir in Gospel music. Their roaring confident sound is enormous in simple unison or in the intricate harmonies that they’ve mastered so well.
Chris and Kyle have written hit songs for Ricky Dillard’s new CD Keep Living (“Keep Living” and “Because of the Blood”), The Arkansas Mass (“God is Truly Amazing”), The GMWA Mass Choir, Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, Gregg Patrick and The Bridge, and Grammy and Stellar Award Nominees Bishop Eddie Long and The New Birth Total Praise Choir. They were the recipients of two awards at the 2010 Rhythm of Gospel Awards for Artist of the Year and Traditional Song of the Year for “He Did It Again” from the Heal Me CD.
With their wide variety of music from urban contemporary to traditional gospel and bold anthems for the soul, they are able to deliver God's message of salvation, hope and healing with passion and in true spirit.
