R&B Crooner Ruben Studdard Signs With Shanachie | New Album Coming in Fall 2011
BEST-SELLING AMERICAN IDOL WINNER RUBEN STUDDARD SIGNED FOR NEW ALBUM LAUNCHING THE NEXT PHASE OF A MULTI-FACETED CAREER
Since winning American Idol in 2003, Ruben Studdard has had one of the most wide-ranging and successful careers of any of that show's contestants. The charming, handsome, irresistibly warm and life-affirming personality is one of the most recognizable and loved artists on the pop culture scene today. Yet not many people are aware of just how wide-ranging his triumphs have been; he has scored major successes in the realms of R & B, gospel, jazz, theatre (starring in the 30th anniversary revival of AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'), and pop. Ruben Studdard has had acting roles on television, film and commercials. He even has a jazz trio on the side! The Grammy-nominated singer has also won or been nominated for awards at the American Music Awards, The Soul Train Awards, and The BET Awards. And he's just getting started. Indeed, Ruben Studdard is now poised to deliver his ultimate artistic statement, having just concluded a deal with Shanachie Entertainment for the release of his next album, which is set for a Fall 2011 release.

The new as yet untitled album is being produced by the all-star team of Harold Lilly, (Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Luther Vandross) and Blac Elvis (Ginuwine, Beyoncé, Fergie, Ludacris). The material on the album will transcend trends and above all will present the essence of Ruben Studdard as a recording artist.
“I’ve been waiting a really long time for my fans to finally hear the real Ruben. This will be the first time that one producer and one writer will be working on my entire album to create one sound,” states Ruben Studdard. “I want my fans to feel like that they have been taken on a musical journey by Ruben Studdard.”
