(Atlanta, GA - August 2012) - Vintage R&B singer and songwriter, Winston Warrior is proud to release "Elevator," the first single for his upcoming album, Lifeology 101...Back 2 School.
We all experience love. Whether new love, young love or settled-in love, its phases wax and wane, rising toward the next plateau to only rise again. Love is varied, unpredictable and intense. Refreshed and re-mixed from the original track for Lifeology 101...Back 2 School, "Elevator" speaks to love at its highest plane of intimacy where attraction can no longer be denied or delayed.
Produced by MegaStarz for Freeenergy Music Group, Winston Warrior brings passionate vocals embraced in tingling and teasing background bells and percussion. Feel the anticipation build as Winston sings “_I hope you’re ready, cuz it’s goin’ down. Get on my level baby, I’ll show you how._”
The buildup in “Elevator” also sets the stage well for Winston Warrior's new album that features more renewed songs from his debut record forged with new tunes, all representing his growth as an artist and the heights to which he is soaring. Elevator is here to remind you of love, sexuality and intimacy found, again and again. Fasten your seat belts and prepare for the next phase in The Phoenix’s journey.
Atlanta born and truly Southern raised, Winston Warrior coins his music as “Vintage R&B” paying tribute to the feel-good R&B and soul music of the late ‘80s and ‘90s, but with the edginess of today’s production creativity. In the 90’s, Winston painfully lost his virginity to the music industry as an original member of the break-out R&B group, Lo’ Profile. With two hit singles, “Missing You” and “Play Melody” on radio rotation, they were frequently booked as opening acts for major artists such as Mary J. Blige and Dru Hill. Success, however, never comes easily and soon the group split up as the harsh realities of the world were too great for their dream to survive. While the collaborative dream did not make it to fruition, the ever present longing for Winston to fulfill his artistic goals never dissipated, and with a business degree from the University of Miami, success in his corporate endeavors soon followed. Fortunately, Winston’s support system was instrumental in encouraging him to reconnect with his music and his rebirth has now brought him full circle as he is once again an emerging artist. This time, however, he is wiser and in complete control of his artistic vision.
As a follow up to Warrior’s critically acclaimed debut album Lifeology 101 that landed him a spot on Billboard’s R&B charts, regular radio and television rotation, among other accolades, he is preparing for the release of Lifeology 101...Back 2 School, a collection of songs refreshed and re-visioned.Lifeology 101...Back 2 School, coming Fall 2012 also includes new tracks representing this next phase in Winston Warrior’s artistry.
